Prestegious Washington State Coastal Resort

Ocean Crest Resort opened in 1949 and has been steadily enlarged and grown in popularity ever since. It is a frequent getaway for guests from all over the Northwest and especially from the Seattle metropolitan area who consider it a special occasions and family reunion getaway. The property is now offered for sale as a stand-alone investment or an opportunity for updating, improvements and possible expansion.

The resort has a stunning setting located on a heavily treed bluff along State Route 109. And is 1.5 miles north of Pacific Beach Washington and 1.25 miles south of Moclips Washington. It includes lodging in 6 separate buildings which include hotel type rooms, larger family and kitchenette rooms and several considered vacation rental homes. It has a hotel style check in and office. There are guest and commercial laundry facilities and a shop/work area for servicing the property.

East of the main buildings is a modern and large enclosed pool, hot tub, sauna, tanning bed and fully equipped exercise room with commercial showers and bathrooms, a reception area and additional meeting rooms which could easily be converted into a spa facility. The resort has an impressive staircase which leads through old growth forest and down the ravine to the Ocean which is immediately in front of the resort. There are no land holders between the resort and the water.
The resort has also been known for gourmet level dining in a building that sits on top of the bluff, with vast ocean views. That property includes a gift shop and lounge. The property includes sufficient parking for the restaurant as well as the lodging facilities.

Note: In late spring 2011 a fire occurred in the restaurant/gift shop building damaging it beyond repair. The new restaurant building has been designed, approved and construction is imminent. A buyer may want to participate in that construction. The price of the replacement building is included in the asking price. That offers an opportunity to create a renewed masterpiece for dining and entertaining. A buyer of the property could take over or direct the completion of the new building. The lodging and other facilities including the checkin desk, office and work shops are still open and operating.

In the most recent year, the resort had total income of $1,691,000. Results have diminished in recent year but the property has adapted and weathered the storm better than many similar facilities during this economic climate.

The property is now offered for sale for a price of $3,500,000 which includes a rebuilt restaurant facility. In the alternate a seller may consider a lower price if a buyer wishes to rebuild the restaurant without the seller’s assistance.
